Have you heard of kombu? It’s a seaweed that is full of vitamins and minerals. 
Let me tell you why I love it:

  • It’s amazing for your hair, nails, and skin.
  • It’s high in iodine, which is essential for thyroid functioning.
  • It’s also known for reducing blood cholesterol and hypertension.
  • It’s high in iron, which helps carry blood to cells.
  • It’s high in calcium, which is important for bone health.

So how do you use this miracle from the sea? You place a stamp-sized piece into the pot when you make soups, grains, or beans. You can also soak your beans overnight with a strip of kombu and it will help tenderize the beans.

    I just saw a vegan chef use this last week on social. Where may I find it? Any grocery store?
